Cummins ISM Engine

Cummins Inc. announces that it has received unconditional certification for its heavy-duty ISM engine from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA approval certifies that the ISM complies with the strict new emissions standards agreed upon by the industry. The proven 11-liter ISM engine, with horsepower (hp) ranging from 280 to 385, complements the Cummins ISX product in meeting the needs of short-haul trucking, vocational and bus customers. This heavy-duty engine is included in the Uptime Guarantee program Cummins recently announced to assure the trucking industry that the new engines will meet and exceed customer performance and reliability needs.
