Heavy-Duty On-Vehicle Brake Lathe

ARI-HETRA has announced its new, heavy-duty on-vehicle disc brake lathe for trucks, buses and light commercial vehicles. This is the first truly heavy-duty brake lathe on the market today. Features of the new on-vehicle brake lathe include intermittent feeding, a process that maintains an evenly cut surface by eliminating the spiral effect produced with a traditional brake lathes, and a variable speed control system which changes the speed of cut, without affecting the quality. Another major benefit of ARI-HETRA’s on-vehicle brake lathe is that turning the brakes on the vehicle creates a perfect geometric match between the rotors and pads, regardless of unavoidable imperfections in the driveline.
